We’re super excited to announce the Get Out, Get Fishing campaign where we have teamed up with Shakespeare who have collaborated with the Angling Trust to get more people fishing. We have teamed up with the goal of making fishing more accessible for juniors, adults, and anyone else who's interested in getting involved and to shout about how beneficial fishing is.
We have worked with Pure Fishing, Shakespeare to design a range of tackle fit for the entry level angler or newcomer at affordable prices, which will provide everything they’ll need to dip their toes into the sport.
As well as product, Shakespeare have teamed up with The Angling Trust who will send two fully employed school officers to visit pupils to teach them about fishing. They’ll offer enrichment days for fishing in line with the National Curriculum and kids will then be offered taster sessions on local lakes free of charge, all while using Shakespeare tackle provided through Fishing Republic.
Who is the Angling Trust?
The Angling Trust are a nonprofit organisation, representing anglers, fighting for fish, fishing and the environment. They are recognised by the Government as the National Governing Body for angling in England, alongside Visit Wales in Wales.
They are a member-based organisation which is made up of anglers from all fishing disciplines to represent, grow and protect the sport of fishing. They employ quality angling coaches to bring Angling Education Programmes into schools and through open events on fisheries, welcome anglers, both old and new. All of this is in aid to make fishing accessible to everyone.
Who is Shakespeare?
Shakespeare is a brand which comes under the Pure Fishing umbrella. They're a fishing tackle brand which started in 1897 in America. They pride themselves on providing accessible products to all aspiring anglers, specialising in fishing kits and entry level tackle spread across all disciplines: Coarse, Carp, Sea, Predator and Fly.
What Do The Kits Include?
So, you probably want to know what these kits actually entail. Designed by Shakespeare and Fishing Republic, these kits will contain a range of budget friendly items and include everything you need to get started. They even come with a mini seat to get you comfortable on the bank.
Each pack will come with a QR code on the packaging, which will direct bidding anglers to the Angling Trust website. The site will show a map of approved fisheries in your local area where you can fish with an approved AT coach present. They will also link you to many handy tips and tricks to get you started with confidence, so there's no excuse not to give it a go!
